An image file is considered “print-ready” when it is:
- A single layer (flattened) JPEG or TIF file format; ideally with an embedded color profile such as sRGB or AdobeRGB
- Contains no special characters in the filename (#!^%$*@_/|:;’?, etc)
- Has image dimensions of 300 or more dots per inch for the print size you desire (for best print quality), or no less than 150 dots per inch
Other image components, such as sharpness, contrast, brightness, saturation, white balance and other attributes will vary from one image to another. We recommend ensuring your computer monitor has been color calibrated and adjusted for brightness to ensure the most accurate outcome when editing files for print.
