Sarah Hales
We’re thrilled to feature the beautiful photography of Sarah Hales! Sarah has an incredible eye for nature, making us feel as if we are right there in the moment – hearing birds chirp as soft sunlight kisses the flowers swaying in a gentle breeze.

A selection of Sarah’s photos are currently on display in Gilbert at the Southeast Regional Library, adjacent to the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch. Please stop in to enjoy all 23 amazing images during regular library hours from now through June 30th.

Sarah’s pieces for this gallery showing are printed on our Lustre Professional Photo Paper, which supports deep tonal depths and has a superb ‘satin-like’ texture.
Here’s more about Sarah’s journey as an artist:
Sarah discovered her love for photography at 14 when her dad appointed her the ‘Official Photographer’ for a two-week road trip across the Western United States. The following year, she entered a photo of a lighthouse on the Oregon coast in the local County Fair in
Kansas and won a blue ribbon – sparking a lifelong passion for photography.
In 1998, Sarah moved from the Midwest to Arizona, where she bought her first point-and-shoot digital camera in 2000, rekindling her enthusiasm for photography. In 2008, she won a Nikon D40 DSLR in an online photography contest, which marked a turning point in her photographic journey. She used the camera to explore natural light portraiture, as well as nature, landscape, and travel photography.
Sarah became involved with the Phoenix-area Photographers Adventure Club (PAC) in 2012, where she had the opportunity to help organize and participate in events that supported others, including PAC-sponsored HELP Portrait events and two fine art photography silent auctions to benefit a local non-profit.
Over the last four years, Sarah’s primary focus has been nature and wildlife photography, with a special interest in birds. She enjoys capturing the desert’s beauty and often travels to Wyoming’s mountains to visit family, where she indulges in daily photography excursions.
Photography is one of Sarah’s greatest passions, alongside her long-standing career as a speech-language pathologist (SLP), which she has pursued since 1995. She currently works in private practice as an SLP and serves as the Director of the Speech Therapy Program at GiGi’s
Playhouse Phoenix. Sarah brings the same level of enthusiasm and dedication to both her photography and her professional work.
